Ecole Jeannine Manuel takes part in Gender Action 2019
We are very proud to be part of the Gender Action programme. This programme has been developed by King’s College London, UCL Institute of Education, the Institute of Physics and the University Council of Modern Languages, and has as its aim to promote and encourage a whole school approach to challenging stereotypes. It puts gender equality at the heart of policy and practice and provides progressive recognition to schools tackling the causes of gender stereotyping and its effect on pupils.Ecole Jeannine Manuel Paris ranked top school in France for the 7th consecutive year
Pupils come first in Faraday Challenge Day!
We are extremely proud of our pupils in Year 8 who have won the the Faraday Challenge Day! The Faraday Challenge is a STEM competition organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) meant to give pupils the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. Teams must race against the clock to solve a real-life engineering problem, putting their technology and teamwork skills to the test. Congratulations to them all!

As part of their studies of First World War poetry, and to coincide with Remembrance events at school, we took all our Year 9s to the newly renovated National Army Museum in Chelsea on the 13th of November. Pupils got the chance to handle genuine artefacts from real First World War soldiers and were lucky enough to do a poetry workshop based around the objects with a published poet and a poet who was also a serving soldier!

Lest we forget
As millions of people commemorated the centenary of the end of the First World War on the 11th November 2018, École Jeannine Manuel played host to a series of acknowledgements honouring those around the world who took part in the Great War. From Nursery to Year 11, our pupils engaged in heartfelt tributes around the theme of Remembrance such as poppy and bleuet making, British and French poetry readings and a dramatic performance.

Similar commemorations took place at our sister schools across the Channel:
