Information & Inspection Reports
Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) & Ofsted
Jeannine Manuel School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association (ISA), the leading association of British independent schools.
This accreditation means that our school is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), the inspectorate appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to inspect private schools in the UK. ISI follow the same DfE-issued regulations as Ofsted when inspecting schools.
Previous inspection reports can be found below.
Exemption from the EYFS
Jeannine Manuel School is exempt from the Learning & Development requirements of the 2017 Statutory Framework for EYFS.
This is because our pupils first learn to read and write in French, which conflicts with the EYFS literacy goals. Jeannine Manuel School continues to uphold high expectations for all the pupils working within the EYFS framework.
The safeguarding and welfare requirements of the EYFS still apply.
Inspection Reports
For Jeannine Manuel, the aim of education is to help shape “whole” people, by which she meant, “individuals aware of their presence in this world, engaged in its history, and ready to play a part in world affairs.”
