Pupils come first in Faraday Challenge Day!

We are extremely proud of our pupils in Year 8 who have won the the Faraday Challenge Day! The Faraday Challenge is a STEM competition organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) meant to give pupils the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. Teams must race against the clock to solve a real-life engineering problem, putting their technology and teamwork skills to the test. Congratulations to them all!

Yesterday, our Year 7s took a trip to Great Missenden to visit the Roald Dahl museum as part of their study of creative writing and literature. Pupils got the chance to handle genuine artefacts from real First World War soldiers and were lucky enough to do a poetry workshop based around the objects with a published poet and a poet who was also a serving soldier!

Halloween at school!

As All Hallows Eve approaches, our fantastic Parents Association have decorated the hallways with creepy cobwebs, black spiders and jack-o’-lanterns to welcome our pupils in the scariest (and cutest) costumes to celebrate Halloween and the start of half term. Whilst the ghouls, vampires and unicorns roamed the schools’ corridors, a coven of witchy parents delivered trick or treats to each classroom on the spooky occasion.

Happy Halloween and enjoy your holiday!
