Ecole Jeannine Manuel de Londres : c’est parti!
For the very first time in London, Ecole Jeannine Manuel opened its doors on 3rd September 2015 and welcomed 189 students aged 4 to 12. In newly renovated buildings located at the heart of the city, teachers and students will embrace the vision of founder Jeannine Manuel to advance international understanding through a bilingual education.
It was with no small amount of emotion that headmistress Pauline Prévot and her staff, welcomed 189 students from 34 nationalities on 3rd September 2015 on what will be recalled as the very first day of Ecole Jeannine Manuel in London. “We are extremely proud to welcome you and confident that you will form a first generation of very successful students” told the headmistress in her opening speech.
Established in a row of three townhouses overlooking Bedford Square and newly transformed into a colourful and highly functional school, Ecole Jeannine Manuel brings a team of over 20 innovative and mission-driven educators that will provide a French bilingual education to students from Moyenne Section to 5e.
Like its sister school in France, founded by Jeannine Manuel in 1954, the school will embrace the vision of its founder expressed in its mission statement: our mission is to promote international understanding through the bilingual education of an international community of students and foster pedagogical innovation through the constant exploration of best practices in an ever-changing global environment.
Students at Ecole Jeannine Manuel will benefit from the very special programmes specifically designed over the years by the school’s talented pedagogues such as the Knock Knock method of English learning, the DEAR programme (Drop Everything And Read), daily Mandarin lessons starting in CE2, a science curriculum based on scientific inquiries excursions, and more.
Ecole Jeannine Manuel whose ambition is to expand and offer, in the years to come, a complete education from preschool to high-school hopes to soon become a strong, lively, and international school community in London.
