Please find below information concerning our school lunch plan and options!
What lunch options are available to students?
- In Primary School (Nursery – Y6), students may bring a lunchbox or sign up to the school lunch plan. Pupils on the lunch plan are served a set lunch comprising a starter, main and dessert.
- In Middle School (Y7 – Y10), students may bring a lunchbox or sign up to the school lunch plan. This year, we are pleased to be launching a new Choose & Eat menu where students may choose between a selection of hot dishes, toasted sandwiches, and salads (all with a veggie option!) as well as fruit and a dessert.
- In Upper School (Y11 –Y13), students may bring in a lunchbox (a microwave is available in school) or go out during their lunch break (provided parental consent has been given).
Who is your caterer?
We are proud to work with the team at Hibiscus Catering who provide meals across the Primary & Middle Schools.
- They use in-season, locally sourced, British produce wherever possible, and we work closely with them to provide a wide variety of nutritious meals.
- 95% of everything provided is homemade, therefore negating the need for colourings and stabilisers.
- All meals provided by Hibiscus are in line with the government guidelines, details of which can be found here.
What is the current menu for Primary School ?

As per the terms and conditions found on the Lunch Subscription Form, please be reminded that children with specific dietary requirements (in particular: allergies and/or intolerances) should not be subscribed to the School Lunch Programme.
What is the current menu for Middle School?

As per the terms and conditions found on the Lunch Subscription Form, please be reminded that children with specific dietary requirements (in particular: allergies and/or intolerances) should not be subscribed to the School Lunch Programme.
How are the menus chosen?
For both the Primary and Middle School menus, the School liaises directly with Hibiscus Catering to ensure that menus are varied, nutritionally balanced, and appealing for the children.
Our lunch team will regularly review how successful different menu items are, based on pupil feedback, food waste etc., and will immediately offer feedback and implement any necessary changes. Long term changes will be reflected on the school website as soon as possible.
Last minute changes may also be made in the case of supplier delays, or other exceptional circumstances. This is often a last minute amendment, and therefore will not be reflected on the school website.
The School also offers special menu days before school holidays – such as festive winter, Lunar New Year and seasonal Spring menus. Information about these is shared with parents in advance via Eduka.
How is the lunch organised in Primary School?
Hibiscus Catering deliver the ready-prepared daily meal to the School, where it is portioned out for pupils and served up by our team of kitchen and supervisory staff.
This allows us to ensure quality control, and also ensure that portion sizes are monitored, sauces are served separately etc.
Food is packaged in bio-degradable containers, so that it can be taken to the dining hall. All disposable food containers used by the school are bio-degradable.
- In PS & MS – pupils eat in their classrooms. This is to ensure the suitability of the school’s lunch provision, and supervision, for our youngest pupils.
- In all other primary years, pupils eat in one of the larger halls in the primary building.
- Supervisors are usually assigned to the same class for the whole year, and so pupils are familiar with their lunch supervisors.
- From PS up to CE1, school lunches and packed lunches are served at separate tables.
- From CE2 up to CM2, pupils can choose where to sit in the lunch hall.
How is the lunch organised in Middle School?
Hibiscus Catering make a minimum of 2 deliveries per week to the Middle School, providing a selection of 6 options per day for pupils to choose from.
Hot dishes, soups and toasted sandwich options are heated by our kitchen team, and served up with pre-prepared salads, desserts and fruits.
Toasted sandwiches come with an additional side dish – a choice between soup or a side salad.
Pupils can choose one main dish and 2 desserts (Fruit / and other option).
- 6eme & 5eme pupils eat lunch at 11.50am.
- 4eme & 3eme pupils eat lunch a 12.45pm.
Can you accommodate students with allergies or specific dietary requirements?
We cannot guarantee that the food we serve does not contain allergen traces and therefore we cannot offer school lunches to students with allergies. While the canteen cannot accommodate for specific dietary requirements, note that we do not serve pork.
What is the cost of the lunch service?
