Music sparks: let’s speak music!

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new music programme, Music Sparks, in Nursery starting in September 2023! 

What will it involve? Two half-hours of music daily, split between whole-class and small group teaching. Using a Kodaly-based method, pupils will develop their musicianship and musical literacy by exploring pitch, tone and sight-singing in a children-centred, playful and physical manner. 

What will the students acquire alongside musicianship? Self-confidence, critical thinking, attention, collaboration and even mathematics and literacy! 

Who will teach them? Ms. McCalla, our specialist, Kodaly-certified music teacher.
